The London Bees were proud to host 12 teams from across London for a women and girls’ football festival this past weekend before the first match of the WSL Spring Series. Competing in the U11, U13 and adult age groups, the following clubs visited the Hive London: Brent Girls, Elstead FC, Hearts of Teddlothian, Tottenhall Girls, Mini Laces, Hampstead Ladies, Ruislip Rangers, Celtic U11 and U13, Larkspur Rovers FC and Eastleigh Girls.
All tournament participants and families were invited to the London Bees match against Brighton & Hove Albion, and helped contribute to one of the largest London Bees home attendances in our history in the Women’s Super League. The winners of the three age groups, Brent Girls, Celtic U13s and Hampstead Ladies, were invited onto the pitch at half time where they were given medals and honored by London Bees goalkeeper Sophie Harris. Celtic U13s and Brent Girls walked onto the pitch with the starting lineups of London Bees and Brighton & Hove Albion at the start of the first match of the WSL Spring Series that afternoon.
London Bees were happy to host these clubs at the Hive, and look forward to hosting additional tournaments and festivals throughout the Spring Series. All inquiries from girls and women’s clubs about attending London Bees matches and tournaments should be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
