Transfer | Destiney Toussaint joins London Bees

London Bees are delighted to announce the signing of winger Destiney Toussaint.

The former Aston Villa player joins the Bees for the 2017/18 season. Her former clubs also include Coventry City and Oxford United.

Speaking of the new signing, Luke Swindlehurst commented:

"I would like to welcome Destiney to the club and I think she is an excellent signing for us. She has a great personality and is well liked by her team mates and brings a new dimension to our squad. She has genuine pace that can really damage teams when we attack. In 1v1 situations there isn't going to be too many players that will catch her in a foot race.

“She brings a goal threat and likes to get in the box so I'm very confident she can make a big impact on the team this season. I'm looking forward to working with her and I'm sure the players are delighted she has now signed."

Destiney is looking forward to a new challenge at London Bees:

"London Bees have always had a good structure and I'd been keeping an eye on their movements and updates within the club itself. I knew one or two players already at the club and they spoke nothing but positives and it sounded like a great team to be on board with and pre-season has been really good.

"From the first training session the team togetherness from players to staff has been second to none. I have been welcomed with open arms by all and it feels like home already. We're getting the pre-season minutes in and training is hitting the fitness goals with good high tempo sessions In terms of development obviously I'm still very new to the team but so far the detail of coaching has been quality from the manager through to the sports science team and everyone else and this will only help me develop as a player as we progress through the season.

"Luke is great. He has the passion you can see it in his mannerisms all the time.He talks of his aims as a club and the direction he wants to take it which are High targets which I think is excellent as he is setting the standards. He speaks with players all the time and encourages and praises progress.

"In a personal note Luke has stated how pleased he is with me and what he has seen so far and feels I will be a great addition to a developing squad. My aims for the season are to push us as a club for the top spot of course. I play football to win and believe as a team we can! If I can help push that then that's great and of course get my assists and goal tally up"
